A La Mer is a neat and well equipped self-catering apartment situated in the heart of the quaint town of L'Agulhas. There is one large bedroom with a standard double bed and a shower. The toilet and wash basin are separate. The living space, including a kitchen table with four chairs and a double sleeper couch, allow guests to move about comfortably while preparing meals and simultaneously enjoy a beautiful sea view. This area offers an electric stove with oven, a microwave oven and a big fridge-freezer with more than enough space. There is also a flat screen TV with full DSTV as well as free wi-fi facilities. An oudoor patio with barbeque facilities, a large wooden table with benches will enable guests to enjoy a summer evening. This apartment provides ideal accommodation for a couple or a couple with one or two children who can share the sleeper couch.

The hosts are a retired couple, who enjoy traveling and meeting new people from different countries and cultures. Alwyn is a retired farmer, while Corrie is a retired teacher. They both enjoy playing bowls at their local club and serve on the committee. Alwyn enjoys writing and Corrie is a very keen patchwork quilter, who enjoys all kinds of sewing projects, knitting and crocheting. She is fluent in Afrikaans, English, Dutch and German, while Alwyn speaks Afrikaans and English and has a good understanding of Dutch and German. They enjoy hosting guests from all walks of life!

À La Mer is situated in a quiet, peaceful and safe environment. It has a beautiful sea view and view of the lighthouse. A boardwalk past the lighthouse takes you all the way to the most southern tip where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. This walk is about 1 km. It is walking distance to the tidal pools, grocery shops, a launderette, an art gallery a most interesting gift and souvenir shop and a number of restaurants to choose from. The second oldest working lighthouse in the country is worth a visit and just 400m from the apartment.
