Nestled in the Hamlet of Groot Marico, close enough to the N4,but far enough to relax in the peace & tranquillity of the bushveld. Our Groot Marico guest house offers home away from home hospitality for the discerning visitor. Ideal for small conferences, intimate weddings and group getaways. It is our aim to make you feel welcome and ensure your visit is enjoyable and memorable. We look forward to instilling a little Marico magic into your life.
Groot Marico is famous for its pristine clean river, one of the few class A rivers left in SA, fish are in abundance. Recently Groot Marico has been awarded the status of a Unesco approved Biosphere, this is a very important milestone, as it will ensure the Groot Marico is protected from mining for generations to come. Once a year, normally the 3rd week of October, the anual HC Bosman festival is held. It is a weekend hosted by the locals in celebration of the Late HC Bosman who is an acclaimed South African writter. One can escape on a MTB on quite gravel roads while exporing the bushveld. The Eye of Marico is the source of the Groot Marico river, it is popular as a dive spot, the water is some 16 meters deep and is crystyl clear.
