The Ross Family are owner managers of Ardmore Guest Farm and are assisted by an enthusiastic young team of seasoned Professional Hospitality Managers. A very strong ethos of community engagement and human development, coupled with active drives towards Eco-sustainability and organic production of produce is reflective in the lifestyle of the residents on the Farm.

Property info

Ardmore was originally a farm founded in the early 1900s. The 3 highest Peaks in South Africa tower over the farm giving guests spectacular views. Ardmore Guest Farm provides a relaxed farm environment with formal accommodations in a superb mountain setting. We are surrounded by fields and forests with rolling hills and streams on the property. The guest house offers full three-course dinners and delicious breakfasts. There is a tea garden for casual snacks and lunch during the day. There are 2 swimming pools, a trampoline, a jungle gym, and lots of space for the kids. There are sheep, horses, goats, and ducks and we have a large chicken run to make your fresh eggs for breakfast. We have recently added Inverters to all our units, this means the lights are always on. This is true for the main restaurant as well. Please also note our 3.2km gravel road.

Neighborhood info

The property is set in beautiful foothills and nearby woodland, and looks onto the Drakensberg World Heritage site. This can be easily accessed and the surrounding area called the Champagne Valley is also a popular tourist destination with many activity hubs. There are many activities in the area such as walks in the Drakensberg mountains, hot air ballooning, helicopter flips, canopy tours, quad biking, bird show, reptile centre, an adventure centre, scootours, 18 hole championship golf course plus many other attractions and local arts and crafts.
