B5 Surfside Umdloti Magic offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a stylish 3-bedroom apartment situated in a complex in Umdloti. B5 Surfside is a little Club Med right in the heart of the Dolphin Coast. From the open front balcony, perched on the crest of the primary dune, one overlooks the grassy lawn to the ocean. The apartment boasts ducted air-conditioning throughout and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and there is a second bathroom for the other 2 bedrooms. Both bath and shower facilities are available. Each bedroom contains a king-size bed which can also be converted into 2 single beds on request. The beds are fitted with cotton percale linen. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, an oven and stove and a microwave, as well as a dishwasher for guests convenience. The open-plan living area comprises an 8-seater dining table, and a lounge with a Smart TV linked to full DStv channels and unlimited Wi-Fi. The complex offers a communal swimming pool and tennis courts which guests are welcome to use. Guests are required to bring their own tennis equipment. On those warm summer evenings one can braai at the communal braai area, under the stars overlooking the swimming pool. There is no direct walking access to the beach from the complex; the beach is 2.5 km away. King Shaka International Airport is located 10.4 km away.

Umdloti is a charming seaside village hemmed between lush green sugar cane fields and the endless Indian Ocean. It is situated on the Dolphin Coast between Umhlanga and Ballito, approximately 20 kilometres north of Durban, home to the busiest harbour in Africa. There are designated swimming areas that are patrolled by lifeguards and protected with shark nets. The unique Umdloti Tidal Pool system forms a beautiful safe inshore bay for swimming and snorkeling. Umdloti Beach sits right on the Indian Ocean and extends from Peace Cottage on the north bank of the Umhlanga River Estuary up to the Umdloti River Estuary. This beautiful section of sandy beach has a shallow intertidal zone where the low tides form a myriad of rocky inshore pools. The coastal waters are rich in marine life providing endless shore fishing opportunities and great offshore ski boat and paddle ski fishing. Walking along the beach you will almost always be entertained by spectacles of dolphins playing in the surf and the whales breaching in season.
