Bridge View is an elegant, country cottage nestled in the peaceful, historic outskirts of Hopetown in the Northern Cape. Conveniently located just off the N12, it is the ideal overnight stop for travellers journeying between Johannesburg, Cape Town, and the Garden Route. Relax and enjoy the Karoo landscape and views of the historical old bridge over the Orange River. Offering first-class self-catering accommodation, it is pet-friendly and the perfect Karoo retreat. The cottage consists of a large open-plan area combining the lounge, dining, and bedroom area, and a fully equipped kitchenette. The bedroom area has a queen-size bed and a single bed. The bathroom offers a shower, toilet, and washbasin with storage for toiletries. The kitchenette is open-plan to the living area and provides a fridge-freezer, microwave, 2-plate stove, air fryer, cutlery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The living area features a TV with DStv, air conditioning, and comfortable seating. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, secure covered parking, a patio with outdoor seating and braai facilities. Wood and firelighters are provided free of charge. The wide variety of birds, walks to the river and over the bridge, and expansive views of the Karoo veld and the Orange River make it the most special stopover in this area.

We love meeting new people and seeing them enjoy the surroundings and start to relax. Ben enjoys explaining the history of the bridge and surrounds. Your pets are welcome to visit .
Hopetown is a small Karoo Town and the perfect stopover between Johannesburg and Capetown. The cottage is elegantly furnished and secluded . There is a wide variety of birds in the area and a bird book and smaĺl binoculars are provided for viewing while visiting. There are walks down to the Orange River and over the Bridge. Klipkraal is a nearby "padstal" with delicious meals. Also of interest is the nearby Orania community, .
