Comfrey Cottage is owner run by mother and son team, Gerda and Grant. Grant's CycleTouring shop is on the same property as the guest house so be sure to chat to Grant about getting set up for bicycle travel and all your bikepacking needs.

Property info

Comfrey Cottage guesthouse is a row of five houses in the quiet last street in Lady Grey at the foot of the mountain. They are set in a park-like garden that is home to our small herd of Alpacas. Choose from the three-bedroom self catering house Comfrey, Robins' Nest that has four separate rooms accessed from its wrap-around verandah and Apple Crumble that has two rooms with outside terrace. All have places where you can sit and enjoy the view. The advertised rate is for bed only but breakfast is available on request. The Comfrey breakfast is quite famous for the special oats porridge.

Neighborhood info

Comfrey Cottage is a popular stop-over for holidaymakers on their way to and from the Wild Coast. This is a good base from which to explore some of the countries highest road passes. Joubert's Pass literally starts at the end of our street. The area provides many opportunities for hiking, trail running and cycling.
