The lodge offers a stunning view of the coast, the sea and the golf course, and is situated right next to a nature reserve. From the terrace, you can admire the natural surroundings and wildlife, such as roe deer, tortoises, hares and guinea fowl, which regularly visit the garden.
I have renovated the house myself, putting a lot of love and joy into it. When I’m not there, I’d like others to be able to enjoy the special atmosphere of the house and the estate too. It’s a beautiful place. You’ll see.
The lodge is situated in a secure golf estate, just a few hundred metres from the beautiful golf clubhouse with its restaurant and spa. The estate also features tennis courts, padel courts, a golf driving range, a fitness centre, a small shop stocked with essential groceries, and a large swimming pool with a barbecue area for the whole family. It’s a 5-minute drive to Mossel Bay and further shopping and strolling opportunities, or you can take the spectacular coastal walk, which takes you straight into the centre of Mossel Bay in 3 hours. Other attractions include the nearby Bottlierskop and Gondwana game reserves, as well as various wine estates – notably Reevalley, with its Friday evening shows and concerts, and Jakkalsvlei, renowned for its gourmet cuisine and excellent wines. George Airport is also just 30 minutes away. Furthermore, the whale-watching trips in July and August are famous, and you can play golf here and at the surrounding courses all year round (Mossel Bay, Kingswood, George and, of course, Fancourt are just a few of the courses you shouldn’t miss).
