Harbour House is heritage listed three-bedroom home with three large bedrooms, stylishly decorated with different themes. Have a traditional wooden barbecue (braai) in the backyard, which includes a large dining and play area. Relax in the Secret Garden courtyard. Watch TV and connect with unlimited Wi-Fi in the open-plan lounge and dining area. Cook in the fully equipped kitchen with a large central high table and bar stools. Work comfortably at the dedicated desk and computer/laptop station with multiple plug points. Enjoy a soak in the oversized bathtub or shower in the spacious walk-in shower. Next door is the Harbour House CraftArt Gallery, where you can shop for local South African art, gifts, and curios, and meet local artists working in the studio.

I grew up in Mossel Bay and still live here, with a rich family history and legacy that continues to be part of the town. I know many interesting and unusual places and enjoy sharing them with visitors. As a professional local craft artist, I personally created all of the themed lighting, décor, glass dining plates and platters, functional craft artworks, and selected furniture pieces. These elements create a cozy, bohemian, artistic, and homely space for guests to stay and enjoy. I spent many years sailing across the seas, where I learned additional craft skills, languages, and cultural traditions that I still embrace today. I love travelling and consider myself a free-spirited person. I enjoy hosting guests, sharing stories, and listening to visitors’ experiences. My goal is to make you feel at home while fully respecting your privacy. My husband, Nigel, is a local musician. Guests are welcome to visit our nearby home overlooking the beach, where you can enjoy some entertainment and warm South African hospitality - if you wish, by appointment.

The house is perfectly and safely located in the central hub of the historic old town - everything within easy walking distance. Directly across from the house is the Harbour Security Control office, located in the old Harbour Master’s House. This is a lively area with plenty to explore. Within a short and easy walk, you will find: The Workshops – take part in craft and craft classes -great coffee and breakfast at any time. Dolfin Café on the corner – famous for freshly made takeaway seafood to enjoy as a picnic on the rocks - a Mossel Bay tradition. A laundromat just a few steps away.
