Welcome to our home in the Karoo. The house has a cozy, lived in feel, with a comfortable open plan kitchen, dining, living area and five spacious bedrooms. Hot, sunny days can be enjoyed on the back patio leading off the kitchen, with a braai and a splash in the swimming pool. Spectacular sunsets can be observed while you relax with a beverage, your travel companions or even your furry friend. Take a stroll through the gardens; where you're welcome to enjoy some seasonal fruits, veg and herbs growing to enhance your dishes. Clear night skies reveal the Milky Way galaxy and countless stars. Winter nights are our favourite time for stargazing and then warming ourselves by the fireplace, still original to the home. She's an older girl, so expect some historic charm and a few imperfections.

Welcome to Karoo Sunset Villa, we appreciate you choosing our home for your visit to Richmond. I am Wendy Williams, a homemaker, wife and mom of three. We hope your stay is relaxed and feels like your home away from home. Two friendly staff members, Dorinne and Johan, local to Richmond, will usually be on site, weekdays from 8am to 2pm, tending to the grounds. We endevour to make your stay as pleasant as possible, so please feel free to ask for any assistance you may need.

Richmond is situated right next to the N1 roughly half-way between Cape Town and Gauteng, making it a perfect stop over for weary travellers or those going nowhere slowly. This little Karoo town is know as South Africa's first Book Town, hosting an annual literary festival, Boekbedonnerd. It is famous for its serene landscapes, stargazing, the world-renowned Karoo lamb and the Richmond Horse museum. Visit the local padstal, deli, restaurants, antique and book store and art galleries. There is also walking trail on the western end of the town where you can watch spectacular sunrises.
