Chantal will assist you with your reservation and your team at Leolapa are Maureen, Patience, Lettie and Leya in the interior and Blessing ably assists with the exterior. Jacques our lodge manager will assist you on arrival at either LeoLapa or Buffalo Brooke and either is available to take guests on a Game Drive in our own private safari vehicle. (additional fees are charged for this and or bush walks and must be prebooked an paid in advance) Reservations are handled by Gail, who is on standby to assist with bookings or queries.

LeoLapa is perched on the scenic banks of one of Africa’s greatest natural landscapes – the Crocodile River. The river is surrounded by tens of thousands of hectares of the raw African wilderness and it is here that places of water are considered places of life. It is here that all forms of wildlife are drawn to the riverine habitat to feed and to quench their thirst. It is here where the paths of predators and prey cross, here where you are assured of breathtaking wildlife experiences, in the luxurious comfort of this private fully-equipped self-catering lodge.

LeoLapa boasts 10 kilometres of undisturbed Crocodile River frontage which has been designed to be viewed from almost every room, making your prime experience one of relaxation while enjoying the wildlife. The Big Five are found throughout this region and may be seen directly from the lodge. Herds of buffalo and elephant frequent the riverine area and predators such as leopard, lion, hyena and often wild dog are seen here. Waterbuck and other antelope such as kudu, bushbuck and impala are common. Plains game such as zebra and giraffe come to the river to drink particularly in the dry months of the year. Bird spotting is a favourite sport among guests and they are never disappointed with the variety of species in the area.
