We are a family of 5 and we welcome you to our home. We hope you enjoy the relaxed farm environment set in a beautiful valley of historical significance.

Property info

Looking for a weekend escape in the rural Natal Midlands in a historic country setting dating back to the 1840's? This rural smallholding with retired horses, cows, chickens, pastures and a plum-tree orchard is a small piece of heaven in a lush and indigenous valley. Located 2.5km from the N3 highway providing easy access to sites and close to the villages of Balgowan and Nottingham Road it is close to some of the top golf courses, restaurants and wedding venues. We are a relaxed farm stay, we are not a hotel. There are no TV's as a stay here is about enjoying the quietness of the countryside and enjoying all that the KZN Midlands has to offer. The cottages are well equipped self catering cottages (with an outside weber for your braai!) The are also plenty of wonderful restaurants close by to experience. We have bass in our dam which you are welcome to fish on a catch and release basis, rowing boats, a farm tennis court, fire places. Mountain biking and walking in the area. Gas and a full solar system throughout the farm ensures is no inconvenience during load shedding!

Neighborhood info

This is a farming area made up of mostly small holdings farming cows and sheep. The area offers lots of excellent restaurants, country shops, cycling and walking trails, farm visits and organic country markets. You can easily spend a week here exploring different parts of the region. However, please note that this is a farming area so you will need to drive to places and many roads are gravel.
