The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were excellent and so were the pillows. Staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was brilliant. We also had dinner and that was lovely. Our main reason for staying over was to play golf and a halfway house on route to Umhlanga

We had a delightful room with our own fireplace. Pefectly stocked each day with firewood, kindling and starter Lovely rusks with tea / coffee. The food in the restaurant was outstanding and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. A HUGE thank you to Clinton, Gail and the whole Halliwell team. Onwards and upwards to you all and wishing you many many Weddings at your special venue

Beautiful countryside living.

Beautiful countryside living. With few attractions, cafe's (The Fabble being favourite) and shops ideal for weekend gate away for the family. most roads are gravel so need a bakkie / van as it's a bit uncomfortable driving smaller sedan!

Piggly Wiggly, kiddies love the train ride, small shops to do a little shopping. Ate Pizza, next to the train station, not to bad. Would love to try the wine farm that is situated on the left as you come into Piggly Wiggly. Found prices a little steep at the shops.

The view from our room. unfortunately we brought our own food because we had no idea that they are restaurant around . for us if was not easy because the weather was bad we were struggling with navigation. we didn't do any activity

The various accommodation options make it perfect for...

The various accommodation options make it perfect for couples and families. Huge grounds allow you to get away for some peace and quiet if you want, but we did not feel overwhelmed by people and the place was full. You can either go and feed carrots to the horses or take a short drive to one of the many attractions in the area.

A great little spot nearby Nottingham Road shops,...

A great little spot nearby Nottingham Road shops, restaurants, spa, and hiking. (Highly recommend Notties Draught House and Bierfassl for food and drinks. That South African Place was a great brekkie option. Have to visit Marrakesh Cheese - The owners are wonderful people! The Brookdale Health Hydro was a great place for a massage!) Do keep in mind that the roads in this part of town are in poor condition - Our smaller Toyota Starlet was fine, but the potholes can be a bit intense - Drive carefully and you will be good!

The host was incredible.

The host was incredible. He went out of his way to show us stars and planets with their telescope, as well as assisting colleagues to find accommodation late at night when their accommodation was double booked elsewhere. Breakfast was amazing and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
