We provide a kettle, coffee and tea in the room, but that is it. It would after all be a crying shame if you did not get out to investigate the wonderful variety of restaurants in our region. There is also a table and attached chairs on the porch, just outside the room in which you will be staying. The evenings can sometimes be so beautiful, that you might just wish to sit there (with a take away snack?) and enjoy the peace and quiet of our area. The room has an en suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower.

I am a retired church minister with a Ph.D. in theology. My wife (a teacher) and I retired in our home in Struisbaai in December, 2018. We are totally in love with our country and specifically the southernmost tip of Africa - Struisbaai and Agulhas. In fact, the southernmost tip of Africa can be reached via a boardwalk of approximately 1.5 km from the Agulhas lighthouse, which is exactly 5 km. from our home. I know the distance, because I am a runner who do sporadic 5 km. park runs. We are both captives to hope for our beautiful people and country. We are also fond readers, and we would like to share the reading experience with any guests who wish to borrow a book for the duration of their stay. These books are in our home in the form of our own private library, and these vary from soppy love stories to books on science, history, theology and many more academic subjects. We also love meeting people from all over, and we will remain on stand-by to assist guests, or simply to chat to them, at the ring of a bell. Why not a picture of myself. Landa Street is more or less at the centre of a peaceful and relatively quiet Ocean View Heights. You need to drive or walk (or run) a mere 800 meters to the beach front where there is much heavier traffic, especially during the holiday times. The scenic Struisbaai harbour entrance is exactly 2.5 km from our home, and the Agulhas lighthouse is exactly 5 km. away.
