Onbedacht Cottage is ideal for couples who want to get away from it all to a place of tranquillity, peace and simple enjoyment. Surrounded by great views, splendid mountains and the charm of a functional farm, the cottage offers a unique stay emphasising old-world charisma and simple beauty. It is situated 60km from Graaff Reinet of which 30km is on gravel (unsealed) road.
I am a cattle and sheep farmer believing in the ethical treatment of animals. I live in Cape Town and commute between the two places on a regular basis. Since I started farming my husband and I have been renovating the farm properties including Onbedacht Cottage. I have travelled extensively, staying in numerous establishments and I believe in offering a unique Farmstay experience!
Take advantage of all the Karoo has to offer and immerse yourself in nature, or the old-world charm of a historic cattle and sheep farm. Climb or hike into the mountains or go for gentle strolls on cattle paths, swim in the cement reservoir and at night braai under the star ladden skies.
