Five star location, owners were very welcoming, accommodation was comfortable with a spectacular view. This is a pet friendly facility, which had wonderful walks for the dogs and myself.

You have to be extremely observant of the only two access roads to this bay, there’s a good stretch of around 20km that it is not paved, it’s not a horrible road but it would be a bit bumpy if your car is not high enough. Once you reach this...

Oyster Bay Beach Lodge is very close to the Indian Ocean with stunning views - dolphins, Whales and Cape Clawless Otters are often spotted. All rooms have fantastic views of the sea and you can even lie on your bed and enjoy the view!!! We have a unspoiled 7 km beach for walks and the Chokka Trail starts right in front of the lodge - one can walk along the coastline as far as you wish!! We serve fresh Seafood ( Fish and Calamari from the Bay) and other meals including a buffet style breakfast
Nick grew up in the area and is an accomplished Chef and also spends a lot of time guiding Tourists on Safaris to Namibia and Botswana in the off season The property was built and designed by him and he knows the area very well - he speaks fluent English, Afrikaans and German
Oyster Bay is a very safe and quiet village and if you want to "get away from it all" this is the place!! No shopping Malls, Take Aways or noisy neighbours here!! Please note to drive via Humansdorp and St Francis Bay ( turn off just after Kromme River Bridge) on a 17 km Dirt road that has just been graded and in good condition!! Many Tourists coming from Plettenburg Bay side often take the first turn off ( about 30kms before Humansdorp) as their GPS tells them to do that - this road is in bad condition and over 32kms of dirt road!!!
