United StatesThe cleanliness, comfort, service, and care of the place, and offered many amenities, like towels, kitchen appliances, dishwasher, dishware, and location, is awesome. View of the Indian Ocean on one side of the place stayed and mountains/hilly terrain and greenery on the other side. Available parking, balcony with tables. The beautiful ocean and a beach to walk on. The sound of the ocean at night. Patio doors surrounding Old Ladder which gave a feel of openness in nature, serenity and peaceful. You can see the beautiful sunrise and the sunset. And at night when it is pitch dark, you can see the most beautiful lights of the stars.
This was my 3rd visit staying at Old Ladder and it has always been awesome - along with the beautiful owners who care about people, very professional, yet caring about making sure your stay is comfortable and keeping the place well kept.

BrazilI loved the house, it seemed from movies! Quiet, beautiful and lovely.
The only thing was that we didn't have wifi there and it was a drawback once we didnt have internet on our cellphones.
The beach close by is incredible and we could go walking from the house!

There are views of hills, vlei and ocean on 3 sides of this property. Two outside braais allows you to adapt to the wind direction and wall-to-wall glassdoors help manage temperature and ocean breeze.
2 living areas and two decks allow 8 people to live spaciously and freely. The layout is a mirror image with 2 bedrooms connected by an ensuite next to each living area - ideal for two families.
Don't forget the homemade roosterkoeke sold down the road.

We loved the ocean right in front of us, having a perfect...
We loved the ocean right in front of us, having a perfect view from the terrace as well as from our bed and bathroom. We loved going on long beach or land walks and always felt safe.
We ate at the Lodge, but also at a small restaurant in town which recently opened their doors. Service and food was good.
Oyster Bay is a small village, thus easy to get around. It has one store with basics for everyday necessities. We like quiet places with minimum shops.

Loved the view and close proximity to the beach and the lovely fresh sea breeze. Wifi was available. Ceiling fans to beat the heat. Enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets on the deck. Remember that there’s a gravel road to Oyster Bay and it’s isolated, there’s a small shop with basics but bring everything with. But that’s what made it wonderful having an expansive beach to yourself. Be safe and ask locals where it is safe to swim.

Nice and cozy little house; they only have ~5 rooms and it's so beautiful! The view over the sea is great! And we loved Oyster Bay as a place so much. Most beautiful beach! The host is also very nice, he cooks great food (loved the breakfast!!) and the rooms are neat and tidy. You get the most beautiful sunsets and we even saw dolphins while sitting on the terrace.

Very clean, comfortable, and well equipped holiday home with beautiful views & in close proximity (walking distance)of the sea & beautiful beach. Oyster Bay is a quiet spot for a great escape from crowds of people.

Great location in front of the sea. Nick is a great host. Delicious breakfast, Comfortable king size bed. Nice hiking trails closeby plus horse riding at oyster bay lodge
