This charming, family-friendly double-storey wooden self-catering home, is tucked away in Bushwillow Estate, offering stunning views and a tranquil retreat at Vaalkop Dam Reserve, Beestekraal. The estate spans 51 hectares along the shores of Vaalkop Dam, surrounded by unspoilt nature and wildlife. The dam is a five-minute walk from the house. The home comfortably accommodates up to 6 adults. It features three bedrooms and two bathrooms: a cosy loft bedroom upstairs with a double bed, and downstairs, a second double bedroom, and a third bedroom with two single beds. The two downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. Both bathrooms include a bath and shower. A daybed in the living area can accommodate one child on request. The open-plan living area is warm and inviting, with comfortable seating and a dining space for shared meals. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, mini oven with a 2-plate stove, and a 2-plate gas stove for use during load shedding. Step outside to enjoy the deck or patio, perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks. Gather around the private braai area or unwind in the hot tub under the stars. Guests also have access to a communal swimming pool. The house has no TV or Wi-Fi, giving you the opportunity to reconnect with nature and make the most of your nature experience. Located approximately 130 km from northern Johannesburg and eastern Pretoria, and 55 km north-west of Brits, the home offers a true escape from city life, reached via mostly tarred roads with the final 5 km on a well-maintained gravel road.
Bushwillow Estate, is a secure estate, with 24 hour security, situated in the scenic bushveld along the shores of Vaalkop Dam in the North-West Province. The North West Province is renowned for its birdwatching and fishing, with over 300 bird species at Vaalkop Dam Nature Reserve and Bird Sanctuary, an adjacent area spanning 800 hectares. Kudu, impala, zebra, wildebeest, waterbuck, hartebeest, nyala, warthogs, and monkeys are frequent sightings.

• Check-in is from 14:00. Guests are advised to arrive before dark due to possible wildlife on the roads, the absence of road lighting, and the possibility of potholes.

• Guests are welcome to walk freely around the estate. Please respect the privacy of other guests and preserve the peace and beauty of the natural environment.

Please stay on footpaths and designated roads only.

Please bear in mind that you are in the bushveld and may encounter animals along the way.

• Children must be supervised at all times, particularly on the deck (due to the balustrades), on the stairs, and in the jacuzzi

• Please keep the house mesh doors closed when leaving the property and at night, as bats and monkeys may enter and cause damage.
