We are lucky enough to live in one the few places in Durban where the local super market is but a short and safe five minute walk away in Florida Rd There are also numerous cafes and restaurants in the same strip. Slightly further down Florida Rd, we recommend the Glenwood Bakery which sells artisanal breads and whose café is open from 6am to 9pm five days a week. We don’t just recommend it because we own it! If you are looking for halaal cafes and eateries, you are in right part of town. Even though, we live so close to the hub of Florida Rd, we find our home to be surprisingly quiet and protected from noise. The best of both worlds. A little further afield you have our local shopping centre (he Windermere Centre) in Lilian Ngoyi Rd. You will find a food Woolies, a Clicks and other familiar shops there. The beaches are in easy access and a mere 10 minute drive. We suggest you go down Sandile Thusi Rd until you hit the promenade and then turn either right or left. The safest swimming beach for young children is south beach towards the harbour. We hope you enjoy our city and province
