Our wooden cottage is set on the high slopes overlooking Bell Park Dam with a spectacular view towards Cathkin Peak and the surrounding Drakensberg mountains. Relax in the tranquil surroundings under the Pines and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The property is ideally situated for our guests to enjoy walking, biking and fishing. Shepherd Farm is in a nature conservancy, and as such offers privacy and tranquility to all guests. The famous Drakensberg Boy's Choir is a mere 17kms away. The area boasts many restaurants, coffee shops and gift shops. There are balloon rides and helicopter flips for the more adventurous, as well as adventure sports centers. Horse riding and golf are available at various Resorts in the area. Please take note that Shepherd Farm is an off-grid property. We make use of solar and generator power. The power to the cottage is switched off at 11.30pm each night, and switched on at 7am each morning. We do however provide emergency lamps. PLEASE TAKE CAREFUL NOTE: The roads in the Central Berg are in poor condition, especially the D184, the road leading up to Shepherd Farm.
