Thaba Lapeng Mountain Escape offers luxury self-catering accommodation with magnificent panoramic views of the mountain ranges surrounding Clarens. It is only 10 km from Clarens, on Route R711 towards Fouriesburg, and is centrally located and within easy reach of Johannesburg, Durban and Bloemfontein. It is great for staying over when visiting the Eastern Free State area, or for attending weddings at one of the nearby wedding venues, or just for relaxing. The accommodation consists of: - 3 fully self-catering, open-plan chalets which are adjacent to the main house, each with an en-suite bathroom consisting of a bath and shower, as well as a veranda with built-in BBQ facilities. The units comprise a seating area with a sofa and a dining area, with a fully equipped kitchen including an oven, a microwave, a toaster and a fridge. A patio with an outdoor dining area with mountain views are offered in all units. Being self- catering, the units are not serviced. However, cleaning services can be provided upon request at a fee, except Sundays and public holidays. - There are also 2 rooms which provide basic accommodation and form part of the main house, with their own private outside entrances on the veranda. Each also has an en-suite shower, with tea- and coffee-making facilities being provided. Ingredients are replenished daily. There are no dedicated BBQ or kitchen facilities. However, crockery and cutlery are provided for the rooms. All linen and bathing towels are also provided. Swimming towels are for the guest's own account. There is a swimming pool on site, as well as free wi-fi.
