The Gables offers Luxury - Classique or Cozy Loft accommodation in the heart of the scenic town of Clarens in the Eastern Free State. The property offers a beautiful garden with gorgeous views of the Maluti Mountain Range. It has a sparkling salt water pool as well as outside braai and entertainment areas. The guest rooms are beautifully decorated with plush bedding which is warm in winter and cool in summer. Electric and additional blankets are provided in winter months, adding extra comfort. Brand new, hotel quality matrasses provide our guest with a super comfortable night’s sleep, leaving them refreshed to enjoy the many activities offered by the town and area. Complementary tea, coffee, biscuits, milk, sweetener, sugar, salt, pepper and mineral water is provided at the start of each stay. We look forward to welcoming you!
I lived in Durban and Johannesburg most of my life. I visited Clarens for the first time in 2017 and absolutely fell in love with town and surrounding mountains. It has always been my dream to be own and manage own guesthouse as I have a passion for people and the hospitality industry in general. My hobbies include a passion for cooking and I soon hope to add this passion to my business. I look forward to welcoming you and making your stay as pleasant as possible.
Clarens has roughly 25 Restaurants in the valley, its own Brewery, and plenty of boutique shops. There are numerous Art Galleries, a 18 hole Golf Course, Horse riding and Hot Air Ballooning. Clarens Extreme offers plenty for the outdoor adventurous - white water rafting, quad biking, paint ball, a Climbing wall, Put-Put and a slide. Then of course there are all the hiking and mountain bike trails and well as fishing in the surrounding hills with beautiful views. Clarens is safe as long as normal precautions are taken. Location wise, The Gables is perfect! It is a mere 100 metres from the town centre and the nearest restaurant is only 50 metres away. This provides guests with the comfort of parking their vehicles in the secure gated parking area and exploring the beautiful town by foot.
