Tranquility Ukuthula has a variety of antelope: Springbuck, eland, impala, reedbuck, blesbok, kudu, sable, giraffe, blue wildebeest, warthog & so much more to offer. It's a photographer's dream with an abundance of birdlife & wildlife set in natural acacia landscape. Tranquility has a large lounge & dining room area, open plan with a cosy fireplace to spend wintery evenings sharing a glass of bubbly or a mature red wine, maybe enjoying a good read/book. Unwind & relax on the wide front stoep, with a built-in braai, enjoy our newly installed KOLKOL Hot Tub where you can relax. Light up your fire at the Boma (outdoor fireplace), & experience your own Bush TV whilst the animals graze on your doorstep.Enjoy walks on the Reserve where beauty surrounds you. Game Drives combined with a Bush Breakfast or Bush Braai can also be booked in advance (weather permitted) at an additional cost. Hikes in the area can also be booked well in advance with your own guide (weather permitted), also at additional cost. Tranquility is your home away from home where you'll make time to breath again & escape from everyday challenges.

My husband, Robbie & I are avid travellers & enjoy everything life has to offer. Robbie summited KILIMANJARO twice, ran COMRADES (an Ultra Marathon) 7 times, which he believes is a perfect number. We also walked the SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA which is unlike any other walking holiday. We love adventure & make sure we live our lives to the fullest. We decided to build our holiday home on a Private Nature Reserve where we're able to enjoy the abundant birdlife & wildlife. We are excited to share our beautiful home & animals with you.

The nearest supermarket is situated in Winterton, 14 km from the Reserve. We have many eateries/restaurants in the area. We're located in the Central Drakensberg, also a World Heritage Site. There are many attractions & activities, Hot Air Ballooning, Drakensberg Canopy Tours in the indigenous forests, abseil 25 m down CHICKEN HILL, do Kloofing or Canyoning in the Injisuthi Valley, visit Cathedral Peak Wine Estate, Farmer's Fork Restaurant, Scrumpy Jacks, famous for its cheese cake, Thokozisa Lifestyle Centre, Valley Bakery for its delicious freshly baked goodies. Visit the Drakensberg Boys Choir in the beautiful Dragon's Peak area & don't miss out on one of their amazing performances. One of my favourites, is to visit Falcon Ridge Bird of Prey Centre which is found in the Champagne Valley. Be prepared to be thrilled by the bird's speed & intelligence. Visit Champagne Sport's Resort if you need to escape to one of the most stunning golf courses.
