Delicious breakfast... story about going the extra mile.... I was offered muesli and I said I would love some but I find muesli too crunchy to eat so I hadn't had muesli for years. The staff sorted out delicious muesli for me every morning...

The Tsitsikamma Mountain View Lodge was designed by renowned architect, the late Martin Rattray, in the traditional Cape Dutch Style. The home is situated in the heart of the charming Storms River Village, at the foot of iconic Storms River Peak, in majestic Tsitsikamma Mountain range. Known as the eastern gateway to the famous Garden Route of South Africa, the area is affectionately referred to as the Garden of the Garden Route, for obvious reasons. Set between verdant indigenous forests and bordered by the mountains and sea, we have an abundance of natural beauty and many adventures waiting to be explored - a top choice for nature and adventure lovers. Our village is quaint, charming and vibey with friendly locals waiting to welcome you.
Legendary Jan arrived in Storms River 1980, the third owner of the then known Tzitzikama Forest Inn, now the local hotel. Jan's interest in classic cars goes back 50 years and his collection included Cadillacs, Buicks, Chevrolets and many other beauties. Much of his priceless memorabilia was used to establish the local “Marilyn’s Diner” back in the 1990's and being an Elvis "devotee", he also founded of very popular Elvis Festival. In the wake of the pandemic, he decided to call it a day! Antoinette, Jan's wife, is an avid artist and has an eclectic studio from where she churns out her passions. Jan and Antoinette are now happily retired and looking forward to welcoming you to their home.
With high peaked mountains, indigenous forests, the enchanting Indian Ocean encasing a charming and characterful village with extraordinary folk, very little compares. Situated at the foot of the Storms River Peak, the village boasts beautiful landscapes, abundant flora and fauna and offers visitors that extraordinary quintessential and unique "Tsitiskamma Experience". Situated between two National Parks, Storms River Village is the adventure capital. There is something for everyone, from art studios to eateries and activities galore. With a wealth of history, natural beauty and unsurpassed character and charm, it truly is extraordinary. A final trump card is this most interesting and fascinating fact for all your honey-lovers. The bees are productive throughout the year and this is credited to the area having the most moderate climate in THE WORLD, thus ensuring 12 months of pollen - to the delight of the bees. And ours :)
