Meet Your Host – Hanli Hanli exchanged the fast-paced city life for the peace and tranquility of beautiful Clarens. She quickly fell in love with the village’s charm, the majestic mountains, and the warm sense of community — and decided to make Clarens her home. A people person at heart, Hanli has spent most of her career in Sales and Customer Service. Her passion for connecting with others shines through in the warm hospitality she extends to every guest at Walnut Cottage. When she’s not welcoming visitors, you’ll find Hanli enjoying early morning walks, tending to her garden, or spending time with her family and beloved pets. She also loves cooking and baking — especially traditional South African dishes — and often “cooks up a storm” in her kitchen. Together with her husband, Ron, and their son, Michael, Hanli looks forward to sharing the beauty, peace, and small-town charm of Clarens with you.
