Inns in Shepton Mallet

The room was spacious, clean and tidy the food was lovely

this was our favorite place on a weeklong trip.. food was great (pub food) and breakfast was the best of the trip too, and included with the room. Nice road to walk along in the morning. Nice atmosphere hanging out and eating and drinking pints in the pub ... all very friendly locals nicest people you could meet. We were welcomed warmly by the guy behind the bar on arrival. Tip would be pay your restaurant bill for your room the night before you leave. Parking was invariably right out front for us. Most patrons must walk to the pub (real locals)

I was only there for one Night,on arrival I was met by Kat, very cheerful and helpful,she was so pleasant,after showing me me room and all the facilities,I back down to the reception area for a very refreshing Drink, with Kat helping with information regal the area. A little later that evening I had a lovely meal of Fish/Chip and peas.which very tastful I must say.. In the morning after a very lovely hot Shower to freshen up!!I then met up with Kat again in the Lounge to which I ordered a fresh orange juice, which she personally made in pint glass,and I must say it was delicious indeed,then followed with a full English Breakfast,which also was to delicious also!!what a great start for the day ahead..Only one last thing to say,and that I very will be coming back when down that way..(can't wait to another one of those breakfast -))) Thanks to you All.Tony.

I booked the George Inn at 7pm on a Sunday evening of a BH weekend after getting rained off from my camping. The place was still busy with the Sunday lunch crowd and clearly the host couple had been flat out busy all day. Nevertheless they were both absolutely charming and quickly showed me a lovely comfortable room and got me a meal and a pint followed by some excellent home made Victoria sponge. Before long I was co-opted onto one of the pub quizz teams and had a great evening in front of the toasty open fire with my new friends. Lovely people who run a great little Inn.

Excellent Breakfast! Location was perfect to visit the Abbey and then do some Christmas shopping

Staff exceptional. Staff cheerfully took our suitcases upstairs and were very helpful at checkout. Advised us well beforehand about where to park

City arms has a great location -On the high street, c!one to the cathedral and bus station. The attached pub was not noisy. The room was comfortable and had good wifi.

The Holcombe was in a beautiful location, with public footpaths through the surrounding fields. The accommodations were cozy, clean, and very relaxing. Staff was nice and food was great.
