Edo house is located perfectly between the train station and major sites. It's new, very clean and very tastefully arranged. The common space is clean and comfortable , excellent for working on my computer. Kitchen is well equipped with all new appliances and equipment. I stayed in a single room. Immaculate clean, quiet, very comfortable bed. Although showers are on the lower floor (also clean and new) there was a toilet room and sink conveniently placed by the bedrooms. There is a new very nice cafe connected to the guest house on the ground/first floor. There's a food shop right across the street. If I return to Furukawa I will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

As a solo traveler, I had an absolutely wonderful and peaceful stay here. The room was incredibly comfortable and cozy, and the hot spring was so relaxing, it was the perfect way to unwind by myself. The property is fully equipped with excellent facilities, making everything so convenient. Most importantly, the host was extremely thoughtful and attentive, making sure I felt safe and welcome throughout my stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

The Sakanomichi is a gem. My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights in February. Ken san and Yuki san were delightful. The property was very clean and comfortable. They renovated the inn themselves and you can see care and attention in every detail from materials used to decor. The food was delicious and much of it was grown (rice) or made (plum wine) by Ken or Yuki. They provided great recommendations for restaurants and side trips. They ensured we were prepared with all the details required to ensure we had successful adventures. We are so lucky to have we picked the Sakonomichi. It was sugoi!!!
