If you can splurge, treat yourself and stay in the 'Suite with Sauna.' It is perhaps my favorite hotel room ever. (And I've stayed in a lot of different hotels.) The wet room alone, which includes a large tub, private sauna, shower, cold plunge, and terrace, was truly awe inducing. But on top of that, the room was extremely spacious with a sleek, modern design. It came with very comfortable beds, a drop-down movie/tv screen with projector, a kitchen, and even a washing machine! It was such a wonderful experience for our family. The hotel staff is also friendly and helpful. I forgot an item in the room, and they were kind enough to return it by mail.

This hotel is outside of central Nagasaki, so you will need to rent a car or use a taxi, but it is worth it because the view is absolutely beautiful. We stayed on the top floor, which has a balcony and watched the sunrise every morning over the sea. The rooms are massive, like staying in an apartment with a massage chair and a fantastic garden tub. Best of all we had a sauna in our room. I’ve never stayed in a hotel with a sauna in the room.

Attentive hosts gave us a tour of the property upon arrival. We enjoyed a delicious shabu shabu dinner with local produce and hand-picked vegetables and fruits from the garden outside. Local sake was complementary as well. In addition, the hosts prepared our futons and were extremely accommodating to our schedules. We would book again because of how warm and kind the hospitality was. We wish we had stayed longer (next time)!
