Hotel is located in an excellent location near the megane bridge. It is within very close proximity to many attractions, shops and restaurants in Nagasaki. Check in was very easy and staff were kind and helpful. Room was small, but clean and comfortable and breakfast was delicious - they even packed it to go for me!

The staff here were the best i have ever experienced at a hotel. Absolutely professional, kind, courteous and always willing to go the extra mile. Also the room was lovely, great views of the river and the city. Excellent bed, spacious shower. The food was also quite good, though you are paying hotel prices for the convenience.

The room has a lot of hangars and hooks which was a godsend for me. It had free VOD movies so I had the option of relaxing at night in my room watching western movies in English. Their Coin Laundry service was inside the building and their dryer actually dried my clothes completely. The room was also very quiet since you can turn off the fridge which was great for a light sleeper like me.

We enjoyed eating dinner by the marina, everyone very friendly and a nice outlook. The rope way up to the viewing point was fun and the view from the top as it got dark was fantastic. The setting sun was very relaxing to watch. The Glover house and accompanying buildings are not to be missed. Sitting having a bite to eat at the top had a fantastic view. Did not have many negatives but the trams were only 1 car and every single one was packed with school children at all times of the day.

Beautiful city with a tragic history that it presents in a dignified and moving manner. Easy to get around using the street cars, lovely people, eager to please; we needed another few days to do it justice. CASTELLA CAKE superb. Obviously the 'bomb' sites but we really recommend the Shiroyama National school which received the direct hit as no-one was there and it is incredibly moving - everyone seemed to be in the Peace park and the museum but this school says it all. PLEASE VISIT IT. It is free and is still a functioning school.

It is a lovely city which also carries sad history including the execution of Catholic martyrs during 16-18 centuries and the nuclear bombing in 1945. Being Catholics, we spent time on pilgrimage by visiting sites and churches with historic significance. We also enjoyed the trip to Kujuku Islands in the Sasebo city and the famous night scene from the Inasa Yama Overlook. For dining and shopping, we went to Amu Plaza which is located at Nagasaki JR Station.

Nagasaki is a pleasant city with a sad history due to atomic bombing but it was amazing to see how the city transformed itself into what it is today. While not big like Osaka, it was a peaceful and well equipped city. Travelling on Nagasaki Tram is convenient and there were convenient stores everywhere. We were glad to visit Nagasaki Peace Museum to understand the destructive effects of atomic bomb. It is important to note that both Hiroshima and Nagasaki offered different perspective of how they were affected by the bomb and I would recommend visit them both. That said, do try Champon and Nagasaki Chinese Style dishes. Nagasaki Wagyu is amazing as well. If you happen to get hold of Nagasaki Strawberry, do try, it is a mix of slight sourness and sweetness.

It is a beautiful city, especially the night view. There is so much history there, of course the atomic bombing but also Christianity in Japan, contact with the world during the Edo Period, and Japan’s opening and early industrialization.

A nice small city with easy walking to many sights. Dejima was very interesting. We weren’t able to get on the Hashima (Gunkajima) island tour but took the ferry to Takeshima and back with a stop at iojima instead to get on the water, Lots of great food including champon at Kozanron and chawanmushi at Yassou!

Might be a perfect hotel especially for the single traveler, a big bed and enough room in a seemingly small room to get around. The location was perfect, especially if it's your first time in Nagasaki as it's right at train/Shinkansen station. Restaurants and shopping abound in the area as you are basically in centre of city. I'd highly recommend.

This hotel is conveniently located near the main Nagasaki train and bus stations. The room was quite large compared to other similar hotels we stayed in with good floor space for luggage. The room was comfortable and clean with a decent sized bathroom. The staff were friendly and lent us umbrellas when it rained.

Like in all Candeo Hotels the rooftop Onsen is a plus. Location is perfect to explore Nagasaki for a few days. We stayed there as a family of four with two toddlers in a "normal" twin room. Everything perfect as long as you don't mind to share the bed.
