Onetai is a special place. The setting in the NZ bush is both beautiful and exciting and the light features created by the host Steve are stunning.The house is very welcoming and comfortable with everything you could need for a nice stay, but the bonus upon bonuses is the host Steve. Steve is unassuming but packs a lot talent and skill in what he has created at Onetai but also as an exceptional host in every way. Nothing is too hard. We had an exceptional breakfast with superb coffee. The surrounding nature is accessible through a very cool trail and Steve also took us down his road to see Glow worms at night. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

Surrounded by 25 acres of native bushland, this secluded resort is located on New Zealand’s stunning Coromandel Peninsula and combines a striking natural setting with personal service.

The Nest is a wonderful haven away from a busy world. Nestled in the bush it was so peaceful and quite. It has a funky, fun vibe and the owners have thought of and provided everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. It really made the stay perfect that the whole place was clean, tidy and so well equipped so that everything we needed was right there at our fingertips. I would jump at the chance to stay there again. I wish more accommodation providers understood how much all these "little inclusions" like a properly equipped kitchen can really make a stay. I highly recommend if you are in the area and this this funky "nest" looks like your kind of place don't hesitate to book your stay.

The Nest was comfortable, clean and modern. It was conveniently located in walking distance to Waihi Beach shops and not far from the beach. We would definitely stay again.

Great location, close to the beach. awesome games room with pool table and big projector screen which was also for the sports, (supplied with Sky). Wet day on Saturday meant over 30 games of Pool played and hours of sports watched. Spa was heated and ready to go. The host was accommodating and provided us with all the information required prior to our stay. Would definitely look to book again.
