It felt like a resort experience without a resort price. The room was really well laid-out, the bed was comfortable although not very large. It didn't have a kitchen, but it did have a good minifridge. Complimentary water bottles on arrival. The bathroom is giant, with two showers, and a French-style bidet. The swimming pool, jaccuzzi, sauna, and steam room facilities were AMAZING. The staff were very helpful, and kindly extended our check-out time with no charge. The price of the buffet at the restaurant was a bit expensive, but if you use skip a cleaning (with the Skip & Gain tab on the doorhandle), they give you a 25 AED discount at the restaurant or gym.

Jebel Hafeet

The second tallest mountain in the UAE, rugged Jebel Hafeet climbs into the skies above Al Ain. Miles of well-maintained road wind up the mountainside, making it easy to scale by car – or bike if your legs (and lungs!) can handle it. Views at the peak are impressive and you’ll also be standing atop some serious history, with fossils and burial tombs scattered throughout the area.

Stayed @Oryx grand hotel on our trip

Stayed @Oryx grand hotel on our trip What I love most about our stay here at Oryx is that it’s very family-oriented. There are plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy, like motor rides, a park, an arcade, and not to mention the golf obstacles, which my three boys really enjoyed! And about the view is spectacular! Being on top of the mountain with this kind of weather is just amazing.

A necessary trip, the climb by car is quite difficult, but the view is worth it, beautiful! What impressed us most every day in Al-Ain were these mountains of clay, stone, enormous and of different shapes, they are impressive, it was the most beautiful thing of the whole trip.
