Lake Louise

A vast pool of the purest turquoise blues, Lake Louise is nestled in the heart of Banff National Park. Several trails surround its shores, with guided tours taking adventurous hikers straight into the lush greenery of what’s known as Bear Country. Take a gondola at the nearby ski resort, where you’ll soar into the mountains – catching glimpses of the wildlife such as lynx, grizzlies and wolves along the way.

Beautiful.

Beautiful. Go in June before the crowds and go early in the morning. Most people stay around the hotel but if you walk along the lakeshore, there will be fewer people. The hike to Lake Agnes Tea House is well worth the effort. Same for the Plain of Six Glaciers.

Went in May and it was easy to book accommodation and get around. However Lake Louise Gondola doesnt open till end of the month-old Banff Gondola open year round. Best meal at the Train Station where we ate outside and watched the Rocky Mountaineer arrive. Visited the lake by Parks bus as it's $ 21 to park and only $ 11 by bus.Beautiful lake with lots of walks from it.Best to go early to miss crowds. However the routes are quite steep ! Imagine it will be packed out in the summer.

We loved the beautiful grounds and hotel. The staff was very friendly and our room was very large and spacious. The amenities including the pool, hot tub, library, complimentary shuttle to Lake Louise, and afternoon tea and coffee were so lovely. The location on the river and with a simple walk across the bridge to a grocery, bakery and shops was fantastic. We had a wonderful stay.

The staff was very friendly, the unit was clean and beautiful. The setting and location was amazing. I chose this hotel due to the location. It is less than 1 mile up hill to Lake Louise. It took about 17 min. They do provide a shuttle for a fee and there is a bus stop outside the hotel.

room was spacious and we had an excellent view of the mountain. Convenient that ski shop was connected to hotel and we could rent skis, skates, etc. Also convenient indoor parking with door that leads directly to lobby. Shuttle service to ski hill was fantastic. Accommodating and friendly staff. Restaurants were great, which was a good thing, as there is nowhere else to go dine in Lake Louise.

The location is so convenient - Fairview limo runs out of this hotel which made it very easy for getting up to the lakes if you can't get Parks Canada shuttle spots or need specific times. It's a short walk over to the little town center and hiking trails, including Tramline which takes you all the way up to Lake Louise. There are a couple of restaurants on site (no reservation), ample parking, and there is laundry. The room was very comfortable and clean, and perfect for relaxing after a day of activity.

Amazing location, walkable to Lake Louise (which was why we booked there!) and a 4 minute drive into the small town of Lake Louise. The staff were also really kind and friendly. Our cabin was totally fine, some additional lighting would have been useful, but we were OK with what we had. Loved the Keurig coffee and granola bars provided by the hotel.

I loved staying at Baker Creek. This property has beautiful grounds, very lovely cabins with a beautiful design, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It felt more like a country house rather than a hotel. The location is awesome! Very secluded, surrounded by wilderness yet close to a little town with restaurants and shots, close to hiking trails and lake Louise. We were very sad to leave!
