Poor drunk man decided to pick a fight with my fiancé and said racist bs to me lol (saying I'm a prostitute of an ethnicity that I am not) because we didn't entertain him when he asked for money. Had a laugh but my spouse was furious lol. Fun times and memorable! 10/10

We hit Galway during a spate of bad weather and probably can't give Eyre Square it's due. It is a very nice green space in the middle of downtown Galway. Try to go when it isn't pouring!

Don't bother, too many stall of crap, too many stalls of same same food. Had been hoping for proper artisan stalls, dint find any just stalls with rude stall holders. In fairness the Christmas ornament stall were fantastic, so lovely to deal with, but other than that the stall holders spoke to customers like they owned them a living. Very very disappointed. Last time I'll go. Would rather support my local small businesses.

What I liked: 1. It was the best hostel I've stayed at in my month-long UK-Ireland trip. 2. Nice beds, spacious rooms. 3. There are bathrooms and toilets inside and outside the room. 4. Hostel offered a simple but good breakfast spread. 5. Has air conditioning. 6. Wifi worked well. 7. Location was great! Very near Eyre Square and most tourist spots in Galway!

It was a great location. Quiet at night. Pretty interior. Rooms have a portable fan which is a plus during hot summer months. I've been to Galway many times and actually never noticed the Victoria tucked away at the foot of Eyre Square. Now it's my go-to hotel.

Excellent location, very close to old town and Eyre Square! Very convenient to shops, restaurants, and tour bus meeting points. It was on a busy street, but it wasn't loud inside the apartment. The apartment was clean and spacious, especially for our family of 5. Three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the heart of Galway was awesome!

Staff is extraordinary!! Room was fabulous, save for the view, still fabulous! Hotel itself is posh yet comfortable, have I mentioned how extraordinary the staff is!! Bar service and breakfast service was impeccable because, you know, staff was extraordinary! Walking down to Spanish Arch & Eyre Square quite doable!

Excellent location because the train and bus station are in very close proximity. For going out, Latin Quarter is a short walk across Eyre Square and the best tours leave from the Hyde Hotel. Also, the food and cocktails at their bar/restaurant are a 10!

Short walk from and to rail station. It was raining both days so that was a great bonus. Proximity to breakfast and pubs was outstanding. Shopping mall and dining was just a bit further but less than 6 minute walk. The Galway Museum was a brisk 10 minute walk but worth going. Free admission and we spent 2 hours learning about Galway and Ireland's history. The view of Eyre Square was great.

Check in was at the hotel and apartment was just round the corner. They upgraded us from double and single room to 2 doubles with 2 bathrooms which was great. Central location a few minutes walk to Eyre Square and Latin quarter. There is a super market 5 mins walk which was handy. Apartment was comfortable and had good facilities some tea, coffee, milk satchets and also dishwasher and washer/dryer if needed, few washing tablets available. Even though close to centre it wasn't too noisy so sleep well.

this is the second time we've stayed at the Dean. its a good location about 5 minutes from Eyre Square and quieter for weekend stays . given some of the other hotels which are loud at night into the small hours. the hotel is lovely .very clean . the house keeping staff are friendly are friendly and courteous .no complaints at all about the room very likely to stay again . one of the top two hotels in Galway City Centre
