This is the one of the nicest parts of Kandy to walk - however please take note Kandy Tourist association that the area surrounding the water of the lake needs cleaning regularly to ensure the wildlife continues to flourish. Please keep it clean either with paid employees or gather some volunteers to regularly get rid of the rubbish coming down the river into the lake and surrounding areas

The hotel is withing waking distance from the Kandy lake, our room had a very nice view over the lake. When we arrived late in the evening, the AC was dripping water. Early next morning, two AC repairmen came, and the dripping was fixed by the time we had our breakfast. As a family of three with an 8-year old daughter, we liked the swimming pool a lot!

I loved this hotel. Excellent location with a view on Kandy lake. I had coffee every morning in my balcony with a beautiful view in front of me. I highly recommend this hotel.
The check-in process was very slow though. Although the staff were nice and asked me to sit down and offered juice to me, I had to be seated for about 15 to 20 minutes just to get my room.
I walked to the lake every morning and its a few minutes away from the hotel. This hotel probably has the best view in Kandy.

The location is excellent, with Kandy Lake and the Temple of the Tooth just opposite the hotel, making it very convenient for sightseeing.
This is a beautiful heritage property with a unique charm and character. However, if you prefer modern-style hotels with contemporary facilities and design, this may not be the right choice for you. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, especially for those who appreciate history, culture, and traditional hospitality.

Hotel Suisse Kandy has a unique old-school charm. If you like vintage hotels, classic architecture, old walls, wooden details, and a feeling of the 1890s, you may enjoy the atmosphere.
The location near Kandy Lake is nice, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. However, the hotel feels quite dated, and the comfort and facilities are not at the level of a modern hotel.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience because of the history and character, but it could be improved in terms of comfort and renovation.

It's a really nice hotel located quite close the the Kandy lake, with amazing views from the rootftop. The value is excellent, considering the breakfast is included too.
The staff is amazing! The uncle running the place is super nice and friendly, speaks fluent English, and is overall a very pleasant gentleman to talk with.

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Glen Kandy! The view was absolutely stunning and made our experience even more special. Check-in and check-out were completely smooth and hassle-free. Randhika was incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist us with anything we needed. The apartment is perfectly located and close to everything. I believe it has one of the most beautiful spots by Kandy Lake. We couldn’t have asked for a better place and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy! ✨

The hotel is in a quiet area but a short walk away from central Kandy. The hotel overlooks Kandy Lake with some rooms having lake views and others garden views. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were great and a special mention to the manager, Theshan, who was very helpful in arranging tours and helping me out when I had a some food poisoning (not from eating at the hotel).

The most we liked was the staff named Sundaru and Satheja who were very friendly and always ready to help. There is a little makeshift kitchen where we could get hot water. The view of Paradenia city from outside of the reception hall was spectacular. We also like the breakfast nook outside with a wide view of Paradenia. Also the uphill hike from Kandy Lake in the city to the hotel was very interesting for us as we like to hike. And we felt it was safe to hike even late night. Overall the Sri Lankan people are very friendly and welcoming.
