The staff are all friendly and make sure your stay is comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious food and the bonus is they also serve alcohol should you want a cold beer after walking all day! The breakfast, if you have it included, is plentiful and varied. Our room was huge and water always hot. The hotel is walkable to the Souk and Corniche (2.4 km). From the airport take the A1 bus to Ruwi Bus Station. From there it is easy to order Otaxi (Oman's version of Uber) to Mutrah Hotel.

A big souq where you can get souvenirs from your visit.

A big souq where you can get souvenirs from your visit. Always bargain to get good deals and don't believe the shopkeepers who claim that their goods are handmade. Otherwise, they are nice. You can go to the corniche for a nice walk and admire the fort as well as the Sultan's majestic yachts. And right opposite the Matrah fish market, there is a fish restaurant where you can choose your fresh fish to be grilled or fied.

Parking is a big hassle as the place is always crowded.

Parking is a big hassle as the place is always crowded. They close at noon 1PM and re open at 4PM. Trinkets, souvenirs, gifts, fragrant oils, local garments, antiques, traditional foods and fruits. A feast for the eyes. Dont miss the famed Omani Halwa (black colour)

Hotel stuff is mostly kind, rooms nicely decorated. My room had view to Mutrah port. Very good breakfast. Interior of hotel is spacious, there is nice bar and restaurant inside hotel. Location very close to Mutrah souq 4-5 min with taxi that costs 1.1. OMR. Good value for money.

Fort Guesthouse in Mutrah was a great place to stay, especially for experiencing the old charm of Muscat. The location is excellent—tucked into the quiet alleys but still within walking distance to Mutrah Corniche and Mutrah Souq. Room was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. And walking distance to mutrah fort.

Apartment hotel in the Darsait/Ruwi area of Muscat, close to Corniche, Port and Mutrah Souq. Spacious apartment with fan and AC, with living room, one bedroom and with an equipped kitchen. Also suitable for longer stays and remote work. Rooms are cleaned regularly and upon request. Great Keralan restaurant downstairs! Grocery shop, laundry service and several other restaurants and coffee shops available nearby. Helpful and friendly staff.

Great hotel with a lovely swiming pool! Room was nice and big. Staff was great. Hotel is not far from the Mutrah Souq, but not close either. (30 minutes, around 2km by walk, but a bit along the highway)
