The staff were phenomenal. They were so kind and helpful. We dealt mostly with David and Alejo, both of whom spoke really good English, and they were very genuine, interested, and nice. The other staff were also great and were happy to try to chat with us in our broken Spanish. The food was really tasty. The ingredients felt high quality and the cooks were really good. The camarones con salsa de coco y ajo was especially good. The cabins were really cool. It felt like we were staying in a treehouse, with plenty of monkeys and birds at eye-level while we lounged in the hammocks. The bed was comfortable and everything was kept really clean by the staff.

Quetzal Dorado Eco-Lodge by Mareygua is located in Los Naranjos, only 0.9 mi away from the entrance of Tayrona National Park in El Zaino.

This is a beautiful house with outstanding Mountain Views. You can see the dedication of the owner on every detail. It has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay. Premium mattress and linens, hot water, tasteful decorations and lots of small details. Yuca restaurant is a few steps away and we enjoyed great breakfast and dinners. Tayrona Park is 10 minutes walking distance.

The room we stayed in was beautiful. The place is nice and chilled. The staff was very helpful and kind, they told us great tips for routes and places to get food. The whole place is very cute having a nice swimming pool, beautiful garden and very intimate and not at all crowded natural pools in a river 5min up the path. There is a restaurant next door, called doña Marta, which is a must. Local economic authentic food. Easy to get there with public transport. In conclusion, although it is a 10 min walk from the main road, it was definitely worth taking the time to find the place.

Posadas Ecoturisticas Seinken is a lovely nature lodge within walking distance from Parque Nacional Tayrona. Lucilla's property is full of beautiful plants and charismatic animals. She also makes breakfast if you request it when you arrive. The property is a 3 minute walk from the road that goes to Santa Marta, where you can pick up the bus. My friend and I from Canada loved staying here during our trip to Tayrona!

This is a perfect place to disconnect and rest, surrounded by nature. The cabin has a spectacular view that you’ll never get tired of. This was my favorite place to stay in Colombia so far. Just a few minutes walk from the Calabazo entrance to Tayrona, and it’s really in the nature. Laying in a hammock with a view of the mountains was a great way to unwind after two days hiking in the park. The room was clean and comfortable. Linh is a great host. I would have happily stayed longer.
