Very cozy lodge with super friendly staff. There were some sweet dogs there too which made it even better. They provided a nice breakfast and coffee in the morning which got me going and right out on the slopes.

Excellent food and facilities, stunning surroundings and very friendly staff. I would choose this everytime above Nikko, just check the road conditions beforehand. They also have a shuttle bus service. Everything is thought through with thermos mugs in the rooms for a relaxing morning stroll after breakfast.

Daily home-made meals (breakfast/dinner) are wonderful and change daily. The place is operated by a lovely family. They are helpful, friendly, and responsive. The location is 2 minutes from the ski lift entrance. It's not as well-connected to the town as other entrances, but if you opt for the breakfast/dinner package, and you just come for the ski resort, it's really not an issue. (We just ski, eat, sleep, and repeat) The dry room for equipment and jackets is very convenient. The big common bath is a big plus for us as well.
