Pension Moomin Papa is a very cute and cosy home from home. It was very warm with lovely underfloor heating, clean and tidy. You can order home cooked breakfast and dinner. The other travellers were nice and friendly. I loved my stay here!

Excellent food and facilities, stunning surroundings and very friendly staff. I would choose this everytime above Nikko, just check the road conditions beforehand. They also have a shuttle bus service. Everything is thought through with thermos mugs in the rooms for a relaxing morning stroll after breakfast.

The hospitality of the host and staff was fabulous. John, Gabriella and James were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast and dinner meals were excellent. The location was fabulous with amazing snowy views and quick access to several ski options. The rooms were very large and we enjoyed the lounge to relax and play card games. The onsen was very relaxing and helpful for sore muscles after a day on the slopes.

Great for small group or family wish we could have spent more time. Kitchen has everything you need and the sleeping arrangements were comfortable Short drive to the Arai Resort. Car is recommended but taxis are available.

The staff are all awesome and they care deeply about the Forest Lodge and their guest experience! The rooms are wonderful, the common areas are super comfortable, with an updated but traditional feel. Beautiful drying room and tuning area in the basement, and everyone is there to ski/ride so you'll get solid tips. They're happy to give you a lift to/from the resort if you don't have a car. The view from the private onsen was really wonderful. Recommended in Myoko!
