Originally, we booked for just one night, but we were so captivated that we extended our stay to 3 days. We were charmed by the simple yet spacious and immaculate cottages. For those seeking a unique experience, you can even sleep outdoors on the comfortable mattresses provided on the terrace—a rare opportunity that’s not possible in the UK. There are no mosquitoes, and the weather is really comfortable. Warm but not too hot or cold. In addition to these remarkable qualities, our stay was enriched by numerous activities suitable for our children. Jagath, known for his hard work, friendliness, and generosity, guided us on a jungle hike to a hilltop temple. We explored a nearby village untouched by tourist influence, took part daily in the preparation of Sri Lankan dishes and breakfast, and even tried our hand at making roti. This immersive experience allowed us to gain profound insights into Sri Lankan culture, traditions, and cuisine, all within an eco-friendly and sustainable paradise.
