What made our stay so special: ⭐ The Friendly Staff – A huge thank you to Angel, Armstrong, and the lovely ladies from the restaurant for their warm hospitality. Their kindness and attentiveness made us feel right at home. 🐾 The Dogs! – We absolutely fell in love with Layla—what a beautiful soul! We already miss her so much. Peanut, Raisin, and the little Jack Russell (whose name escapes me) were also such wonderful companions. It was a joy having them around. 🏡 The Chalet – Simply amazing! It was beyond what we had imagined—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. 🌿 The Lodge & Surroundings – The entire place is breathtaking. The natural beauty of Oribi Gorge combined with the peaceful atmosphere of the lodge made for the perfect getaway. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience! We will definitely be back.

What a wonderful resort! Everything that a holiday maker needs! Facilities are clean and staff are so friendly and welcoming

No Breakfast as this facility was not a B&B (for us), nor did we expect or pay for this - so no reason to complain/comment in this regard. The Swimming Pool & Patio area was always spotlessly clean & tidy. Tons of (decent) outdoor furniture & nice Braai. Toilet paper & clean Towels efficiently provided daily. The garbage bins were emptied every day. Our Host, Patrick and super pleasant Staff too (&! his beautiful dog, Hero); the nicest Guy(s) who ensured that all was so good for us on an everyday! basis. We felt extremely safe at Galene Guest House and (sorry Patrick) we even left the alarm disarmed & door/s unlocked on one/two occasion/s. The surf; just a stone's throw away (+-30 meters) without having to cross any (dangerous) railway lines nor any roads - we were "right on" the (his) beautiful beach. Our two Corgis absolutely loved their stay too (A huge thanks to Hero for showing them interest & super love too) - Our Corgis (and ourselves) now seem somewhat "saddened" to be back home. The communal Main Lounge, Dining Room, TV Lounge & Kitchen (which had absolutely everything available & required) - tastefully furnished, decorated & clean). After many other accommodations visited the past 40 years; I (we) can definitely recommend Galene Guest House. So; people; get into the "beach-bum" mode, leave your "crazy world" behind and indulge in what one (very regularly) needs & deserves. SEE YOU SOON PATRICK, HERO & STAFF! - Thank you so very much!!!
