The bed was absolutely wonderful, very soft and the duvet kept us toasty warm, the cat was a highlight. Meeting all the animals we met, lovely hot tub that the host kindly lit for us before we arrived. We could see the stars, fed the ducks and such. It was a lovely cosy little space.

It was lovely to get away with the family. We had 4 lodges in total. The welcome food extras were excellent. Everyone commented on how good the bread was. We were able to get a large food delivery to the lodge door which was fabulous. The hot tubs were a massive hit with children and adults alike. The owners were very helpful and always answered any questions that I had. Highly recommend. Many thanks

We were a family group and booked two lodges for a weekend break. Our lodges were lovely, very spacious and well equipped. It was nice to be able to have meals at the hotel too if you didn't fancy cooking! We had an evening meal & a breakfast, both were very good & all the staff we met were exceptionally friendly. We loved seeing the peacocks roaming around too.

've just returned from 2 nights at the lodges in Barmston and wanted to say how disappointed I was. The location is amazing and the Lodge was clean, and the hot tub nice, but overall it lacked a 'retreat' feel and was quite run down. I wouldn't recommend or return

It was a perfect location for us. The walks are lovely. Lodges were close by to each other. Look on the map on the website so you are close together when planning. We were a hen party. The staff were lovely and accommodating.

Stunning well maintained peaceful location. Family get together staying in 3 Woodsman lodges, the large hot tub was well used by all. The children absolutely loved the animals, play areas, football pitch and the space to run around. Steve and Sarah are really friendly and welcoming, going that extra mile. Steve provided a stand for a disposable bbq, and late in the day Sarah even provided an electric lighter when we realised that we nothing to light the bbq with.
