Luxury Hotels in Wissembourg

The newly renovated fourth floor (troisieme étage, 54 steps) was done with quality materials and superb workmanship. The hosts were generous with assistance. We walked from the local train station, got caught in a heavy rain storm and got soaked. They offered us their clothes drier and drying rack and we were soon fine. Breakfasts were delicious, in room, with treats, a full baguette, juice, raw eggs we could cook as we wised in the new kitchenette, etc. The little restaurant on the main floor (formerly operated by her grandmother) was so good that we ate all our meals there. The location is excellent, close to everything, including a grocery store, bakeries, fruit stands, etc.

Maison 1775 is a stunning renovated timber house in the beautiful Alsace countryside. We loved everything about it! It was well equipped, clean, beautifully decorated, modern, and the host was very gracious. A sweet note and fresh farm eggs greeted us upon arrival, and the host also made a quick stop the next morning to make sure we had everything we needed. There are two bedrooms and a third small room with a twin bed only that a child could use. There are two full bathrooms, one upstairs, one down. Beautiful kitchen that is well equipped, large dining space and sitting area with a TV where you can access Netflix. There is a lovely porch with dining that would be great in the summer and parking is provided in the neat as a pin barn. The grounds and village surround the home are so charming and well maintained. There us a super market about 15 minutes away with a lovely drive through the countryside and villages. The house is about 30-40 minutes from beautiful Strasbourg and 1 1/2 hours from charming Colmar, both a must if visiting the region. If you are looking for a beautiful countryside respite, this is your place! We were in the area to visit the Christmas markets in Strasbourg and Colmar. They were extremely crowded, so it was nice to escape to the peace of the countryside after our visits.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The landlord was friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the start. The house was warm during winter, and the nice fireplace made it even cozier and more enjoyable. Highly recommended.
