Great old building, with heaps of charm. Staff were great, best service we received in all of Sri Lanka.

Nice little place with very comfortable beds and pillows, and close to everything, while still being away from the noise. Great balcony, and nice bathroom.

Was like living in your own villa, with butler and cook! We had a lovely dinner on first night. Owner and staff were super responsive and generous. Location was perfect, right in middle of fort.

Our room was beautiful and so cute! We arrived early expecting not to be able to check in until later, the staff were very accommodating and we were able to go to our rooms on arrival. Breakfast was great, and affordable, the beds were comfortable, location was perfect for everything we wanted to see.

The food (a truly delectable brunch with locally sourced ingredients), the location (peaceful, surrounded by nature and greenery), the architecture (tasteful Béton brut with Tropical Modernism) and Anne’s hospitality!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this villa. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The entire place has such a calming ambiance perfect for anyone looking to unwind and escape the busyness of the city. The Sri Lankan food was a true highlight: authentic, flavorful, and served with so much care. The fresh juices available around the clock were another lovely touch that made the experience feel even more special. Every corner of the villa feels thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. I left feeling refreshed, peaceful, and already wishing I could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a serene and memorable getaway.

This place is a Sri Lankan gem! Thank you very much to Bharatvir and his entire team for making us feel very welcome and special. Everyone was friendly, professional, and welcoming. Everything was outstanding...the peace and quiet, beautiful room (thank you for the upgrade!), location, cocktails (so good!), pool, service, and food. The bed in the room was extremely comfortable and the bed linens were top notch. The decor throughout the hotel is very thoughtful with many beautiful antiques and pieces of artwork. The overall vibe is perfect! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

I stayed two days at Villa Ema. It was a wonderful time. The Service provided by the staff was commendable. The property is spacious, clean and calm.

Arabella on Boossa is a beautiful beachfront property tucked away in a residential area just outside Galle. What truly stood out to me is its calm, colonial-style charm a refreshing change from the busy crowds of Hikkaduwa and Unawatuna. The beach is clean, the property is impeccably maintained, and the service is exceptional. A special thank you to Nipun and Chef Nuwan for making our stay so memorable. You can really tell the place is well managed it’s the little details that make all the difference. Having stayed in many luxury hotels around Sri Lanka, I’ve often found small essentials missing, but Arabella on Boossa seems to have thought of everything (even things like a hair iron!). We visited just before the Sri Lankan New Year, and the team went the extra mile by organizing a small Avurudu celebration for guests such a thoughtful and enjoyable experience. The staff truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. We will definitely be back. Also, don’t miss the prawn and fish tacos at their in-house restaurant “Ahara” — absolutely delicious!

We spent 14 beautiful days in Villa Seven Faces, and would give it our highest recommendation. It is a very beautiful villa with an even better view, and a very kind and welcoming host who will do everything he can to make your stay enjoyable. Arriving at the villa, we were greeted by our host, Priyankara, who helped us settle in and also gave us tips on what to see, how to order food, get transport and so on. Every question we had he could help with! Every morning, we were treated to a really amazing homemade breakfast, which seriously was some of the best food we have had on our entire Sri Lanka trip. If you get the chance, try the Sri Lankan style especially - you can request it to be non-spicy if you’re (like us) finding a little difficult to keep up with the locals in terms of spiciness, and Priyankara will make it to perfection. Huge recommendation from us! The place was clean and well kept, and very spacious for two people. We enjoyed both sitting inside/outside by the pool, being in the pool, spotting various wildlife around, and of course, every time you look up: Beautiful views of the fields and jungle. It was truly spectacular! Before arriving, we were a bit concerned about food/cooking while there. While there is a small kitchenette available, it also turned we needed not to have worried, as you can easily order food (at reasonable prices) to the villa from many restaurants around Galle. Priyankara is staying in a separate room downstairs in the villa at night, for security reasons, so you can sleep soundly knowing that someone will be there to help if you should have any problems during the night also (we never had any problems, though). Great service, and was not a problem in terms of privacy at all, as it is separate from the main villa. We could go on for a long time about Villa Seven Faces and our time there, but it is absolutely best experienced yourself. We would very much recommend coming here.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious including their delicious homemade jams. Loved the rooftop pool area.

Our stay at Ishq Talpe was simply amazing. The villa is even more beautiful than in the photos, with stunning sea views and an elegant, spotless interior. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help, which made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and the perfect start to each day. Everything exceeded our expectations, a true paradise by the ocean. Highly recommended.

Ok, I travel way too often and have stayed at great properties, but THIS ONE was really amazing! The HOST is the kindest, sweetest guy. And so is his family. The breakfast, the comfort, the fact that there is a great pool, pure bliss, surprise peacock visits, surrounded by trees. Such peace and tranquilty! I got fresh coconuts from the tree on the premises. The bathrooms are beautiful with their open roof design and splash tubs. The rooms are cozy and beautiful. Even if you dont visit things around, you can just stay in and enjoy a nice stroll in the garden. Best for writing retreats. The host was readily available, very accomodating, and takes care of all the requirements. They made this very delicious juice blend for me with local citrus- it was soo good! Loved every bit of my stay and I am definitely coming back! If you are looking for a staycation, accessible place, yet away from the general busy-ness of Galle, this is the BEST stay. So well kept, so green. Even in harsh summers, the tempertaure of the property is lower than outside because of the dense green cover. Very safe for women who travel alone. TOP NOTCH!
