Great location, spacious rooms and very well-arranged. The staff provided take away breakfast and coffee as our flight was very early, which was a very nice touch. We'd definitely stay again.

We stayed here for NZFW. Meet with owners - who where incredibly lovely. The location is stunning and so central we could walk everywhere. The balcony and apartment were both large. the Spa was amazing

Beautiful room and garden. Very clean and well stocked with a several nice, thoughtful touches. Property owner was very kind and helpful. Location was great. Close to several good cafes, restaurants and coffee places. Easy walking to several areas of interest and next to a large park with beach access.

Hotel Fitzroy is in a neighborhood whose main street is Ponsonby, a street with shops, restaurants (we ate dinner in the area every night) and nightlife that many visiting Auckland might never go. The hotel itself is about 125 meters from Ponsonby in a quiet neighborhood of lovely homes. To start, the staff cannot be complimented enough. Pablo and Eric went above and beyond time and time again from which wine tour to take, which restaurant to eat in and which route to take to walk the almost 2.5km to the port, downhill the whole way. No request was beyond their doing. The day we arrived they got brand new mattresses for all the rooms, and they are ultra luxury mattresses and sheets. The made to order breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The facilities are what you would expect in an upscale bed and breakfast. Highly recommended.

Our stay was a real treat but worth every penny and more. We loved being surrounded by the beautiful scenery, having our gorgeous rooms and no tv! What an oasis. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was so clear that ingredients were freshly sourced and expertly cooked. I mean the only flaw is that you wish you could stay forever!
