The most heartwarming and friendly host. The hostess gave us wise suggestions on sightseeing routes. The rooms are very spacious and clean, well equipped with air condition, comfy beds, convenient parking outside the door.

The location was ideal, within walking distance of several parks, the bird recovery center, and the Victoria Esplanade. It was also within easy driving distance of restaurants, shops, and other sights in the area. The apartment we stayed in was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Amber checked us in and was very friendly and helpful giving us suggestions and directions.

Luxury Beach Bus is a recently renovated vacation home in Whanganui where guests can make the most of the garden and terrace.

I loved every bit of the bus as it’s completely quirky , it was one of the highlights of our trip , a one of a kind experience sleeping on a bus with all the comforts of home. Great bathroom and comfy bed! I The kitchen was fully equipped with coffee tea sugar and milk! Fridge toaster kettle and microwave all functional, and a Griller on deck which would have been ideal for a barbecue dinner. Our morning was a lovely time on the deck , having coffee and cookies included in the rent, and we brought our own breakfast favorites as well , so it was a chill morning of binging. I would definitely come back here to rest and relax , walk to the beach nearby. The bus truly has the comforts of home lovingly put together in a wonderful piece of art! And…. Thank you for the hospitality!

Wow! A magnificent property!! I highly recommend this property as a unique stay - whether you need to be in Taumarunui or not. It is definitely worth an addition to your NZ holiday. We had booked a Forgotten World Adventure and Omaka Lodge is only a 10/15 minute drive from the starting point in the town. It was beautiful from the moment we drove through the gates and up the long drive. The gardens and water feature reflect such care and imagination, they are a pleasure to walk around and relax in. Our accommodation itself was just magical - so luxuriously appointed and decorated. Our hosts, Chris and Scott and their two pups, were welcoming and friendly. There was an option for dinner (if pre-organised) and I would definitely take up this option if I was to stay again. The continental breakfast was superb, with home made muesli and granola as well as home baked bread and jams. Chris even got up early to make sure our breakfast was on the table by 6am as we had to be in town by 7am. This will be a highlight of our NZ holiday!!
