Friendly warm people. Well equipped shared kitchen

Kirsten shared a beer with me upon my arrival and we had a nice chat! The pillows were big and comfy, I had the best sleep of my entire trip! The room was big with a small refrigerator, a desk and 2 chairs. The whole place was spotless.

The property was immaculate and the staff, who I believe are a small family team, had great attention to detail. We arrived late evening with my 5 year old asleep in arms, they sent for someone to help with my bags and sent me and my son to the room straight away before husband had finished doing check in formalities. That was a lovely touch. Room was very comfortably furnished and well maintained, proper black out curtains, comfortable large beds, bedside lighting, professionally made bed and bedding etc. breakfast was excellent, served with a big smile and you could tell good hygiene was being excersized. Very impressed.

Enough rooms and great distribution

Liz, our hostess came out and greeted us at her gate when we arrived. She was delightful and went out of her way to make sure we had EVERYTHING we needed. The room was very clean and comfortable. She had apologized ahead of time about potential New Years fireworks and noise. We never heard a thing. The mattress was super! I normally sleep about 7 hours a night and I slept for 10 in that bed. There is a small kitchenette which is supplied with misc items for guests who want to be able to eat in their room. We had brought our own breakfast which we ate at a table by the swimming pool. So quiet and relaxing! The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The property is gated and we felt totally safe in her little garden paradise. We hope to come back again. Highly recommended.

The staff and accommodation were exceptional

The location is amazing. Being remote, you go to sleep and wake up to the sounds and sights of nature. The grounds are amazing as well. The hosts/owners have developed a sustainable way of living within nature and the community. The home itself is very comfortable and is designed with the guests' experience in mind. Hand-designed and built by the owner, the home ensures that guests can be comfortable while maximizing their experience in the natural setting. We're not sure if it was the time-of-year or a feature of how the home and grounds were designed, but we did not have any issues with mosquitoes or insects in the home or while on the balconies. What stands out the most, however, are the owners. They are absolutely amazing humans. They epitomize what the home sharing movement was meant to be. They were very welcoming and responsive. What really made the experience memorable was that they took the time out of their day to get to know us, eat with us, and show us their community. It was easily the best experience at someone's home that we've ever had while traveling. We can't say enough.
