A Pleasant Stay in the Heart of La Rioja I recently had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Ciudad de Haro. This hotel offers a great blend of traditional charm and comfortable amenities, making it a solid choice for exploring the La Rioja wine region. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and good advice, which really made a difference to our experience. Our room was clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. We particularly appreciated the ample free parking, which is a huge convenience when traveling by car. The pool area was a lovely bonus, offering a refreshing spot to relax and unwind, especially after a warm day. While our stay was largely excellent, a few minor touches could elevate the experience further. The decor, while charming, felt a little dated in some areas, and the air conditioning in our room, while functional, wasn't as powerful as we'd hoped on a particularly warm evening. Overall, the Hotel Ciudad de Haro provides excellent value and a very welcoming atmosphere. It’s a great base for exploring Haro and the surrounding wineries, and I would certainly recommend it for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Haunted like Hotel California. Old school Hotel it’s round and the doors are so old you have to use a key from both sides. No air conditioning but we opened the balcony doors and it cooled right down. Great price. The bar was great. She was going to squeeze fresh orange juice for us.

The cabin was brilliant, private, outside space, wine fridge!!!! Safe for little ones, great facilities.

The location was convenient, there was a bus station near by and it only took 10 minutes by walk to the central plaza. The staff were super helpful. The room itself was clean with an effective AC system which allowed a very comfortable stay.

Location, how spacious it is, the double bed super comfy. I was reading previous reviews and you can tell they've improved (soap in the bathroom, signals of silence please, floor fans and shutters for the top windows)

Good nights sleep, staff helpful, accommodation excellent, easy to find,parking excellent. What more could we ask for? The restaurant to be open maybe?

Excellent location set up perfectly for our stay. We are in often and had everything we needed. Pedro, our host was lovely and easy to communicate with. We would stay here agin.

Beautiful apartment with everything you will need during your stay! Spacious and modern with extras such as deluxe bath products. The host even had a bottle of wine for us which was so thoughtful and appreciated! Our host was also extremely helpful with advice about local restaurants, wineries and sights. He booked us 2 tastings and also showed up in person to take us to the parking garage. Definitely exceeded our expectations

Great location, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. Loved the Juliette doors to the two terraces overlooking the main square! Close to excellent restaurants and walking distance to all the wineries!

The location is perfect - just around the corner from the main square.

The apartment is in a great location to visit Haro, the bodegas, and charming surrounding villages. We had been traveling ~ a month. Anytime we book in where a washing machine is onsite, we are grateful. Avoiding a trip to the lavanderia is a time saver and much appreciated. Jesús, our host, is a very good communicator. He even sent me suggested villages to visit during our stay. Well worth adding to our list! He quickly responds to our questions using WhatsApp. The apartment is clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The bottle of Rioja wine and variety of snacks and breakfast biscuits was much appreciated.

Everything is very convenient including parking near by. It was a bit noise because that weekend celebrations of the Virgin de la Vega, and music very loud until close to 5am. Although location was perfect walk distance everywhere.

Gorge was extremely helpfull in finding us a parking spot and even called the next day to make sure we were ok. There were even a little pantry with basic supplies. The location is perfect if you want to be in the centre of old town.

I loved the deck on the lower level apartment and I loved that it was essentially 2 apartments with common entryway but separate doors to each apartment. Beds were wonderful. Apartment was beautiful, everything we needed.

Friendly staff, very accommodating and helpful. The hotel is brand new and it does represent the 5 stars.
