Proper bed and breakfast - love it. They have chickens ducks and geese and fantastic eggs in the morning. Lovely people. I felt like I was in France staying with real people rather than a boutique tourist nonsense.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Happiness Verteuil sur Charente, a property that I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking a memorable vacation experience. The property's standout feature was its stunning natural surroundings. Situated amidst the quaint streets of the gorgeous French town of Verteuil sur Charente, this home even has an incredible private deck overlooking the lovely river Charente! This provided a serene and rejuvenating atmosphere. Whether we were sipping morning coffee or unwinding with aperitifs and dinner on the private deck under the starry night sky, the beauty of nature was an ever-present companion. Inside, the rental was tastefully decorated and impeccably maintained. The open-concept living area, adorned with modern furnishings, was inviting and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals and dine in. Additionally, the bedrooms were cozy and provided a restful night's sleep, ensuring we woke up refreshed each morning. Three floors comprise this immaculate home, and it must be noted that the owner’s attention to detail is remarkable! What truly set this holiday rental apart was the exceptional hospitality of the owner. They were responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. A truly wonderful and beautiful lady, her commitment to guest satisfaction were evident throughout our visit. In summary, our stay at this holiday rental property was nothing short of spectacular. It provided a perfect blend of natural beauty, comfort, and activities, making it an ideal choice for a memorable vacation. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a tranquil and rejuvenating getaway.

Jon and Suzi were excellent hosts and couldn't have asked for a better stay. The room was large and so comfortable for a five day stay. The breakfast was incredible, there was something different everyday and Suzi did her own baking which was such a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone. It was quiet, with beautiful surrounds and the town was close by.

the facility is comprehensive. microwave, coffee machine, kitchenette, heatpump, pool in the summer, electric gate, 3 minutes from town center, etc etc
