United KingdomThe property is very close to the town and the ferry so definitely walkable but note it is does end with a challenging hill. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly and I couldn't ask for more in that respect. The bedroom and private bathroom were very clean and tidy, noting a short stretch of shared corridor between the two. The bed was comfy and the house/neighbourhood were quiet so I slept well. This was my first time in a home-stay type setting and would definitely recommend it and would do it again where there is an obvious cost difference to equivalently positioned hotels.

United KingdomWe were very impressed when we arrived on Saturday to find that the property was so spacious and very bright. it was really well decorated and nicely furnished, extremely comfortable and everything in it was absolutely immaculately clean , including all the kitchen utensils .
We enjoyed the beautiful views over the castle and the fact that it was so well situated right in the heart of the town, surrounded in good cafes and shops, very handy!

A very comfortable bed with good quality bedding in a well -furnished room with sea view and shower room as requested. Public areas are spacious and comfortable with bar and restaurant. We enjoyed an evening meal with friends joining us. We liked the old style grand decor. Staff cheerful and helpful. Wonderful sea and landscape views from the hotel. Well situated with gardens and car parking on outskirts of Rothesay. Lift access was one reason we booked because of my wife's mobility issues.

Fantastic I ended up staying much longer than planned as I was assisting a relative with a house sale. Excellent WiFi so I could work on my computer. There's a large coop just behind the property and free parking in a public car park opposite.
The property was spacious and there was plenty of crockery for cooking meals with a bonus of dishwasher and washing machine.

Return visit for us (the walkers) after 1 year. Happy to say hotel met our expectations once again. Great location...free parking in front of hotel....great views from the bar terrace. Very friendly service again from Dave the owner. The breakfast as before was superb.
