The information the access was very informative and helpful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were great. I was only there for a night, but staying longer would have been comfortable.

Booked one night when other choices not available. Pleasantly surprised with clean facilities and large comfertable common area... much better than other reviews indicate.

We were very lucky in that we were the only people staying here. We had a most luxurious stay with a comfortable room, lovely showers, a functional kitchen and a pleasant place to sit.

It has a beautiful location overlooking Isafjordur, with a stream running by, and a sauna. Lots of room for guests, and very comfortable inside with wood stoves on both levels. The history is quite rich, and the owner has gone to great lengths to present how the lodge has evolved from 1929 to its current state.

Plenty of space for two families and a generous laundry room as well. Views from the living room of the fjord were gorgeous, and doing dishes while looking at the mountain and watching sheep was so fun.

The apartment was quite spacious and the views, over the fjord and with the tall mountain in back, were stunning. Full kitchen with large breakfast table, nicely decorated living room, large bath, and wonderful bedroom. I would highly recommend this place and would stay there again!

The location was excellent. We also enjoyed the camaraderie and food at the new local restaurant and pub just a block away from the house. Would like to return again someday!

Great location plus quality restaurant attached to the hotel. Freshly renovated bar, restaurant, and breakfast area.
