Absolutely everything. It is a place of magic. The breathtaking nature of Ayabe, beautiful farmland, and a traditional Japanese home that takes you back to another era all together; to a gentler pace, and the grateful knowledge of the hard work, and skill that goes into high quality ingredients and healthy eating. Forever grateful to Akira-san and Nono-san for inviting us into their home, sharing their experiences farming the land, and offering us some of the best meals we’ve had, not only while in Japan, but throughout decades of traveling the world.
